How to Crochet Bows and Flowers

Flowers and bows are perfect embellishments for so many different projects. Imagine them on a headband, hat, purse, pillow embrace and more! This collection has a mini blossom perfect for smaller projects or to exist clustered for larger areas; a medium sized two tone blossom for larger projects or to be used in conjunction with the mini flowers; and a rounded border bow! Have fun combining them or use them individually for many dissimilar looks.

I worked these in worsted weight acrylic and cotton fiber yarn, but you could employ just almost any yarn you lot similar.


Pattern Instructions


In worsted weight yarn, the mini flowers are approximately 1″ in diameter and the medium flowers are approximately 2.v″ in diameter. The bow is approximately 3″ across the heart.


  • Any yarn weight desired. Fore the samples I used worsted weight yarn.
  • Use claw appropriate for yarn chosen, I used Hook US H/five.0
    0 mm
  • Yarn needle for weaving ends


ch: concatenation

dc: double crochet

sc: single crochet

sl st: skid run up

st(es): stitch(es)

tog: together

Gauge is not critical in this blueprint.

Mini Flowers

Row i:
Ch 4, bring together with sl st to outset ch to grade a circle, [sl st, ch2, dc, ch2, sl st] five times  in center of circle, join with sl st to get-go sl st.

With yarn needle pull yarn to wrong side and weave ends.

Medium Flowers

Row 1: With Color ane,
ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to grade a circle, ch2, dc in center of circle, ch2, [dc2tog, ch2] iv times  in center of circumvolve, join with sl st to commencement st. Fasten off.

Row 2: Join Color 2 in any ch2 space,[sl st, ch2, three dc, ch2, sl st] in each ch2 infinite, join with sl st to first st. Fasten off. With yarn needle pull yarn to wrong side and weave ends.


Row ane: All stitches are worked in the first ch —
Starting with a half-dozen″ tail,Ch 1, [ch4, 3 dbltr, ch4, sl st] ii times in first ch made, fasten off leaving a 6″ tail at the terminate. Use the 2 tails to wrap effectually center of bow to form “knot”, bring ends to back of bow and tie them securely. Weave ends.
